How to care for your winter footwear

  • Smooth leather (Dr. Martens, Timberland): wipe with a damp cloth, let dry away from heat and nourish with cream or wax in a matching shade.
  • Suede and nubuck: brush dry with a suede brush and apply a waterproofing spray before the first wear.
  • Sheepskin (UGG): use a soft brush and a specific cleaner; never in the washing machine or next to a radiator.
  • Nylon and technical fabrics (Moon Boot, Salomon): lukewarm water with mild soap and air dry.
  • Canvas (Converse): soft brush with water and mild soap; remove the laces and dry in the shade.
